New Students

A few helpful hints for your first yoga class at Sol Luna:

  • Read up on class descriptions & pick one that sounds best for you. If you haven’t already, you can register for class here–this helps us know you’re coming!

  • Show up to class 10-15 minutes early so you can get to know your instructor, get situated in the room, & have time to settle your mind before class.

  • Come prepared in flexible clothing & layers you can take on and off as you need. You will be barefoot for class, so shoes & socks are not important. We will be moving & bending forward during class, so you’ll want to check that your clothing sits comfortably on you in many positions.

  • If you have your own yoga mat & props (a block, a strap, etc.), you are encouraged to bring them. If not, no worries! We have all you need in our studio. When you register for your class, you’ll want to mark that you need a mat.

  • Please come without strong scents. Many perfumes, scented body lotions, & even strong deodorants can be very irritating for many of our students, so we try to keep the scents to a minimum. If you have a personal allergy or aversion to certain scents, please let your instructor know before class as occasionally essential oils are used during class to promote healing.

  • Please silence and leave your cell phone in our shoe cubbies so it is away from you during class. This is your chance to unplug & unwind, & we want class to be enjoyable on every level for you and all our guests.
